I have a photograph of jesse owens taken at the olympic games in Berlin, the picture was taken by my grandfather who is now deceased. I assume that gives me ownership of the copyright, so if i sold the rights to use the picture or even sold the picture itself to a historian, how much could I expect to make!????! I don’t know, possibly not terribly much though it might go for a few hundred to a couple thousand. Considering who Jesse Owens was and what he did much to Hitler’s dismay considering he viewed everyone who wasn’t an «Aryan» to be from an inferior race I expect Owens memorabilia could bring in quite a bit of money depending on what it is and when it originated. Anything from the Berlin Games is bound to bring in more because that is what Owens is best known for.
